There are numerous methods available at the moment for wirelessly transferring files from your Windows 11-powered Galaxy phone and tablet to your Galaxy Book. Using the Phone Link app on your PC and the Link To Windows software on your Android mobile is one of them. To transfer files between the two platforms using those apps, simply open My Files on your phone using the Phone Link app on your PC. Microsoft is now simplifying file transfer between PCs (Windows) and Android Galaxy smartphones.
According to Microsoft, updates are now being distributed to every Windows Insider channel. This update allows Windows 11 to display your Galaxy tablet or smartphone in File Explorer and also allows you to transfer files between these two platforms.
When you choose your Galaxy tablet or smartphone in File Explorer, all of your Android device’s files will be shown to you in a manner identical to that of your PC. After that, you will be able to copy and paste those files into your PC, rename and remove those files, and move them from one folder on the device to another. It goes without saying that the new capability will also allow you to transfer files from your PC to your Samsung phone or tablet.
In order to access this functionality, you must have Windows 11 on your PC selected to be in one of the four Windows Insider Channels: Canary, Dev, Beta, or Release Preview, and an Android device running Android 11 (or a newer version) with the Link to Windows app installed on it in version 1.24071 (or a newer version). Navigate to Settings » Bluetooth & Devices » Mobiles Devices » to activate this option. Open File Explorer, select Manage Devices and activate Access.
As a result, file transfers between your Galaxy tablet or phone and Galaxy Book are now simpler than before. In the coming months, Microsoft is likely to release the stable version of Windows 11 including this capability.
