Samsung revealed which Galaxy AI features are most popular across Southeast Asia and Oceania. The Korean tech giant revealed the results of its Consumer Marketing Insights Study on AI Perception, conducted Samsung. It demonstrates that both Samsung and non-Samsung consumers in the SEAO region have a high level of awareness about Galaxy AI.
The study was conducted prior to the release of the Galaxy AI, which is based on One UI 6.1.1. Based on their experiences with One UI 6.1, users offered their stories. In the meantime, the improved Galaxy AI offers a lot more Gen AI and AI features to draw in customers with non-Samsung smartphones.
Southeast Asian and Oceanian consumers are aware of artificial intelligence’s potential. Four out of five non-Samsung consumers are interested in upgrading to a Samsung phone due to the company’s AI developments.
AI is primarily employed in SEAO to improve photo-editing capabilities and expedite information retrieval. This is related to the fact that consumers are confident in AI’s ability to increase productivity and efficiency while simultaneously empowering them. Similarly, SEAO Samsung Galaxy users were equally pleased with Galaxy AI’s emphasis on productivity and efficiency, with the top three being as follows.

- Circle to Search (92%): AI streamlines social media and online interactions with a straightforward and natural motion, helping users access information more quickly.
- 90% of customers report that Transcript Assist is an easy-to-use function that makes it simple to transcribe meeting recordings and provide summaries and translations.
- Generative Edit (89%): With this function, users can quickly and easily adjust the size, location, or alignment of objects in images to achieve the ideal shot.
