For those who own Galaxy A series phones and want to experience some Galaxy AI action, we have some interesting news to share. According to insiders contacted by SamMobile, Galaxy AI will gradually make its way into mid-range Galaxy A phones, beginning with a few 2024 models, and move beyond the high-end market.
According to sources, the Galaxy A35 and A55, two models that were already released in 2024, will be the first Galaxy A handsets to run Samsung’s most recent innovation, Galaxy AI. There are a few restrictions, though.
First off, the precise release date of Galaxy AI for the Galaxy A35 and Galaxy A55 is unknown. Our sources, however, inform us that it will take place via the One UI 6.1.1 upgrade, which may arrive on these mid-range phones this month or the following.
Second, the Galaxy A35 and Galaxy A55 won’t get access to every Galaxy AI feature. Although it’s unclear which AI tools will be included and which ones won’t, we assume Samsung won’t include any that demand a significant amount of processing power on the device.
As of this writing, the Galaxy S23 FE is the most reasonably priced Galaxy AI-enabled phone available. One of the AI capabilities Samsung provided in the original Galaxy AI suite for the Galaxy S24 series, Instant Slow-Mo, is not even present in the Fan Edition phone.
Thirdly, despite physical similarities, we can only confirm that Galaxy AI will be available for the Galaxy A35 and Galaxy A55; previous Galaxy A smartphones will not be supported.
For instance, the Exynos 1380 SoC in the Galaxy A35 and Galaxy A54 are the identical chips, but we are unable to verify whether Galaxy AI would be made available for the latter model. Samsung might focus just on Galaxy A devices that were released in 2024 and beyond.
Samsung is placing a lot of money into Galaxy AI, and the company announced at Unpacked 2024 that it intends to integrate these cutting-edge AI capabilities into more than 200 million Galaxy devices, including wearables, tablets, and phones.
