Samsung can also launch the Galaxy Watch 7 along with the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 in July this year. The smartwatch will likely come pre-installed with the Wear OS 5-based One UI 6 watch. Now, Samsung has joined the tease about the upcoming Wear OS 5-based One UI 6 Watch beta program, although it is not revealing the date of when the beta program will launch.
Now, Samsung may soon launch the Wear OS 5-based One UI 6 Watch beta program, as the beta listing was spotted on the Korean version of Samsung’s community. Also, the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 and Watch 6 Classic could be the first entries in the Activity line. Later, the update may also be extended to older Galaxy watches such as Watch 5 and Watch 5 Pro.
Similar to the Android 14 beta, Google recently unveiled Wear OS 5, which is available in developer preview. Samsung’s next upgrade for smartwatch users will run on the latest Wear OS 5 on top of the One UI 6 Watch.
Like previous years’ beta programs, the Wear OS 5-based One UI 6 Watch beta may be available in select countries, including South Korea and the US. Last year the company released around 8 beta updates of One UI 5 Watch, so we can expect the same process to continue this year as well.

At the moment, Samsung hasn’t shared any details about the new features you can expect to see in the Wear OS 5-based One UI 6 Watch release. Wear OS 5 promises better battery life and new watch face formats, so we can expect the One UI 6 Watch to bring the same, with a rumored blood-sugar assessment feature also expected.
