Samsung’s One UI is arguably the best Android skin in the market, offering a plethora of features. One UI 6 kicked off the Galaxy AI era, but it looks like One UI 7 could bring some big changes. Meanwhile, a report suggests that Samsung One UI 7 could adopt a new icon for Galaxy’s original Gallery app, which looks bad.

A tipster Chunvn8888 posted an image of the alleged One UI 7 Samsung Gallery app icon. As per the shared image, the new icon has a solid white background with six leaves of different colours including green, yellow, orange, red, brown, and maroon. This is completely different from the current design which has a solid purple-red colour with white leaves.

If you look closely at the image, you will find that the icon lacks a dynamic appearance like 3D effects or shadows. Since the work is still underway, the final design may be different.

One UI 7 Update:

Samsung may start the One UI 7 beta program with the Galaxy S24 series next month. Along with this, selected mid-range phones will also be eligible for testing activities. Also, the foldable smartphones launched will also be invited for testing activities.

The stable One UI 7 will begin rolling out to compatible models later this year, starting with flagships. The official rollout may begin after October 3 – SDC24. Android 15 software will be widely available on Samsung devices by the end of the year.
