In keeping with Samsung’s tradition, the upcoming One UI 7.0 may come with some new features and better system performance compared to One UI 6.0/6.1/6.1.1. As we get closer to the official Android 15 launch, it’s time to think about what features users want with the One UI 7.0 update.

One UI 7.0 will enable you to do what you want intuitively, exactly the way you like it, and personalize your everyday experiences.

  • Multiple Lock And Home Screen Setups: Samsung already brings a lot of customization to the Home and Lock screens on Galaxy phones. But with One UI 7.0, users want more personalization, just like watch faces on smartwatches. Apple, on the other hand, already has the ability to create multiple lock screen and home screen setups that you can switch between.
  • Redesigned Quick Settings: Before One UI 6.0, One UI offered a quick settings panel accessible with one hand. But with the One UI 6.0 update the entire panel changed to occupy the entire screen, making it harder to reach top controls without using two hands. Therefore, users want a new one-hand-friendly design of the quick settings panel that will provide better accessibility features.
  • Vertical App Drawer: Since Android 6.0 Marshmallow, Samsung has attached a horizontal page-style drawer. With One UI 7.0, users demand to change to a vertical app drawer feature, which will allow users to scroll vertically through their apps. This is distinct from horizontal scrolling, which offers a more intuitive and organized way of accessing apps.
  • Battery and Storage Health Data: It is rumored that Samsung may bring a battery health data feature with the One UI 7.0 update. The upcoming One UI iteration will be based on Android 15, which is said to bring the ability to evaluate battery health and screen the remaining capacity in percentage, presumably similar to iOS.
  • Customizable Icons: The Samsung Good Lock app allows you to customize the Galaxy theme, Samsung wallpapers and icons on your device to your liking. Now, Galaxy users will want all the customization available on One UI software with One UI 7.0, as Good Lock only supports flagships or some A series devices.
