Samsung released Android 14 to Galaxy device owners late last year. Now, millions of Galaxy smartphones and tablets are running Android 14 with One UI 6.0, and some devices are running the One UI 6.1 version. This year, the focus shifted to Android 15 based on One UI 7.0. Also, Samsung is preparing to release the One UI 7.0 beta program for its Samsung devices. However, some older Galaxy devices are ineligible for the next One UI 7.0 update and will be stuck on Android 14-based UI 6.0.
Samsung has streamlined its software update policies, so it’s easier to figure out which devices will get the Android 15 One UI 7.0 update and which won’t.
Many devices are now eligible for four Android OS upgrades. This means that mobile older than four years will not be available for One UI 7.0 update. Samsung, on the other hand, announced that it will provide up to 7 years of major OS upgrades and security updates for its flagship devices, starting with the Galaxy S24 series.
But Galaxy A, Galaxy M, and Galaxy F series are some older and lower models that will not get Android 15 and One UI 7.0 due to being old. If you are wondering which ones, here is the list of devices that will no longer receive major updates and will always run Android 14 and One UI 6.
