After the Galaxy S24 Plus and Galaxy S23 Ultra, the standard variant of the Galaxy S22 unit has been spotted online running One UI 7 based on Android 15. This suggests that Samsung is continuing to work on the One UI 7.0 update for existing devices and, in the meantime, preparing for the Galaxy Unpacked launch event today.

Galaxy S22 spotted online running One UI 7
Yesterday, the Galaxy S23 Ultra was spotted online via Geekbench running One UI 7, following the Galaxy S24 Plus. Today, its predecessor, the Galaxy S22, was spotted doing the same. The Galaxy S22 was found in the Geekbench database running Android 15, which will form the basis of One UI 7.0 for Samsung’s smartphones and tablets.
As per the Geekbench listing, it has achieved a single-core score of 1219 and a multi-core score of 2802. We can expect significant performance improvements with the next One UI update. Also, this benchmark is from an early build and doesn’t suggest a beta launch. It gives a glimpse of what Samsung is working on – the consumer-focused Galaxy S22 software
Apart from this, Samsung Galaxy S24 Plus and Galaxy S23 Ultra smartphones were also benchmarked with One UI 7 and Android 15. The smartphones scored 2114 and 1658 in single-core and 6616 and 4028 in multi-core respectively.
After Samsung releases the One UI 7 update for the Galaxy S22 series, the phones will only have one more Android OS update left. The company has promised to release four major Android OS updates and five years of security updates for the Galaxy S22 series. The same will be the case with the Galaxy S23 series. The Galaxy S24 series, on the other hand, will get Android OS updates and security updates for seven years.
