With the launch of the new Galaxy Z series alongside One UI 6.1.1, Samsung is opening the next chapter of Galaxy AI by leveraging its most versatile and flexible form factor, perfectly designed to enable a range of unique mobile experiences. Samsung brings lots of Galaxy AI features one of them new Portrait Studio feature, which allows Galaxy users to generate 3D avatars.
Samsung’s Portrait Studio under the Galaxy AI umbrella allows Galaxy users to create a variety of different portrait styles such as 3D cartoon or watercolor for more creative possibilities. Just like the cloud-based AI feature, it requires a network connection and a Samsung account login. It is worth noting that it supports a few image formats and has some limitations.
Moreover, the AI-powered 3D avatar generator supports JPG, HEIC (HEIF), BMP, and PNG files. Also, the feature works even when the background should not be transparent.
Also, the company ensures that editing with Generative Portrait yields a resized photo up to 12MP. There is a visible watermark overlay on the image output upon saving, indicating that the image is generated by AI. Notably, the accuracy and reliability of the generated output is not guaranteed.
