One of the most interesting features of Galaxy AI is Live Translate, which allows consumers to perform real-time translation on voice calls into their preferred language. Previously, this feature was limited to One UI’s Phone app voice calls, but Galaxy AI upgraded Live Translate to support almost all third-party (non-Samsung) voice-calling apps.
Last month, Samsung revealed that the Live Translate feature will work with voice-calling third-party apps. Now, with One UI 6.1.1, the feature works with almost all instant messaging and all popular voice-calling apps.
According to SamMobile, all popular third-party voice-calling apps are supported by Galaxu AI Live Translate. These apps include WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, Google Meet, Instagram, Kakao Talk, Line, Signal, Telegram, WeChat, and more.
All compatible apps installed on your phone will be available in the Live Translate menu in Galaxy AI. The user can enable or disable the translation feature for any app from the list. Get real-time translation in supported voice calling apps, which are mentioned below. During the call, tap Live Translate in the Quick Panel to translate.
This feature converts voices from any supported language to your preferred supported language in real-time. For example, if the person on the other end of the call is speaking Korean, but you prefer English, their voice is converted to English in real-time. You can also see the transcription of the voices on the screen.
With the One UI 6.1 update, many Galaxy devices have received Live Translate. The boosted version may be available for all currently supported phones and tablets. Galaxy AI is available on these Samsung devices, as follows:
