Tomorrow, Samsung will launch its upcoming Galaxy foldable device as well as some wearable Galaxy devices. Meanwhile, the Korean tech giant is working on a new mid-range smartphone with model number SM-M558B which was recently certified by the Wi-Fi Alliance. Also, a report suggests that this phone could be a new variant of the Galaxy M55 which could be sold as the Galaxy M55s.
Samsung previously launched “s” variants for some of its affordable phones range. Still, that is not a common occurrence for its mid-range phones. The most recent notable one was the Galaxy A52s. The Galaxy A53, A54, and A55 do not feature such a variation, nor do the Galaxy M52, M53, and M54.
At the moment, the model number of this mysterious phone is a big indication that the Galaxy M55s is in the works. As. the model number for the regular Galaxy M55 is SM-M556B, indicating that the SM-M558B is a higher-end variation.
However, there is little information available about the SM-M558B, other than the Wi-Fi certification, thus it is impossible to predict how it will change from the M55. One of the improvements might be a quicker and/or more recent processor; the Galaxy A52s, for example, has a more potent Snapdragon CPU than the Galaxy A52 and Galaxy A52 5G.
