With One UI 7.0, Samsung is releasing an entirely new collection of icons. All stock program icons, such as those for the browser, theme, camera, gallery, contacts, dialer, contacts, settings, and more, are being updated by the firm.

The use of gradients and shadows gives the icons a three-dimensional appearance. Their appearance is also more rounded. Widgets have also been redesigned; they now largely mirror those on iOS 18.

All new camera UI

The camera app has undergone UI modifications that are arguably the most obvious. All of the main controls, including zoom shortcuts, fast controls, and camera modes, have been moved to the bottom for easy access, according to leaked screenshots. Either a pop-up menu or a horizontal bar now has additional shooting modes. This updated UI appears to include aspects from several popular Android skins’ camera apps.

More rounded UI elements

It appears that Samsung is embracing rounded features across the user interface. There are now softer edges on Settings, Quick Actions, Notifications, and other components. This method works in perfect harmony with the updated icons.

Samsung’s own Dynamic  island

Samsung presents their version of the Dynamic Island in One UI 7.0. The Dynamic Island’s animation is reminiscent of a pill intended for system applications. Samsung has opted to retain the app pills on the left side of the notification area, in contrast to iOS where the island is positioned in the center.

Smoother animations

There have been rumors of One UI 7.0 builds with more natural animations, comparable to those found on iOS and OPPO’s ColorOS. These statements have been verified by our sources. These results, however, are based on preliminary software builds, so the experience might differ in later releases.

Task continuity

The main goal of this big update is to improve the Samsung ecosystem and make it closer to iOS. Galaxy users will be able to carry on video and phone conversations between devices with ease thanks to One UI 7. This implies that you may use a simple motion to answer a call on your Galaxy smartphone and send it to your Galaxy Tab or TV. With this app continuity, users will be able to share storage and cameras in addition to making and receiving calls on all Galaxy devices.

Two-page notification panel

This is Possibly the most divisive update for One UI 7.0. Samsung has implemented a multi-page notification panel, following in the footsteps of Xiaomi and Apple in terms of style. Notifications and fast settings will have their own dropdown menus, with notifications on the left and quick settings on the right.

More changes on the horizon

These are merely surface-level UI adjustments that we have discussed. Samsung is embracing a new Design with One UI 7, which combines parts of iOS and Xiaomi’s HyperOS. While some of these adjustments are positive, others might not be so popular. Since this is an early build, there may be major changes before the final stable release.
