One UI 6.1.1 and One UI 7 Back Tap
For your information, let us tell you that Samsung will introduce the sixth-generation foldable in July with pre-installed Android 14-based One UI 6.1.1 software. On the other hand, the Korean tech giant is rumored to start the Android 15-based One UI 7 beta program in August this year.
According to the information, Samsung is going to introduce the “Check Time with Back-Tap” feature in its Good Lock’s RegiStar app, which will be available on Galaxy Fold 6 and Flip 6 with One UI 6.1.1. On the flip side, With One UI 7.0, the Korean tech giant will also roll out this RegiStar feature to other Samsung devices. However, this feature will not be available for Galaxy tablets.
The “Check time with Back-Tap” feature helps you check the time by tapping the back of the device, even in environments where it is difficult to see the screen, and is aimed at improving accessibility. Notably, this feature works even when the screen is off, unlike other back-tap actions, so it is expected to be very useful.
The RegiStar development team is actively working on developing a new Check time feature using Back Tap. The company will soon introduce this feature with the sixth-generation foldables most probably in July.
