Samsung: One UI 6.1 Battery Protection
One UI 6.1 Battery Protection feature on Samsung devices is designed to substantially extend the battery life of your Galaxy devices. This feature comes in handy as keeping your battery at 100% charge for a long period of time can reduce its life. Here’s how to optimize your battery with battery protection features so it lasts longer.
Additionally, the feature smartly manages battery power consumption while the device is charging, thereby reducing strain on the battery and maintaining its capacity over time. With One UI 6.1 or later, the Battery Protection feature on Samsung devices comes with three features: Basic, Adaptive, and Maximum.
Galaxy users can easily activate this feature by going to the ‘Settings’ menu, selecting the ‘Battery’ option, and turning on the ‘Battery Protection feature. Turn on the switch and select an option.
- Basic: When your battery is 100% charged, charging will stop until the battery level drops to 95%, and then charging will resume.
- Adaptive: Use Maximum while sleeping and switch to Basic before you wake up. Sleep time is estimated based on your phone’s usage patterns.
- Maximum: When your battery reaches 80%, charging will stop.
