A Galaxy Z Flip 5 user recently reported an issue where the side button on the cover screen fails to directly open apps like the calculator. Instead, users are asked to open their devices to use the app.
Samsung has acknowledged the cover screen side button issue and aims to fix it in the upcoming One UI 6.1.1 update, which is set to launch alongside the upcoming Galaxy foldable. Also, Galaxy Z Flip 5 users will get it in late July.
However, the moderator has not given any information about the release date of this major update. The team is currently working to enhance it in the One UI 6.1.1 update. Users are encouraged to stay informed about the One UI 611 release, as it promises to deliver a smoother and more consistent experience and will bring significant changes as it will be as big as One UI 6.1.
