With One UI 6.1, Samsung debuted Generative wallpapers, a feature that uses artificial intelligence (AI) to create backgrounds based on user preferences. This feature put a watermark—a small, sparkling emblem in blue—in the bottom-left corner of every wallpaper it produced to show that artificial intelligence—more precisely, Galaxy AI—was used in their creation. Samsung One UI 6.1.1 adds a bigger watermark to images made using Galaxy AI.

Samsung released the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 on July 10, bringing with them a new version of One UI 6.1.1, the company’s software overlay for smartphones and tablets.
With One UI 6.1.1 update, Galaxy AI Generative function lets you create wallpapers, but they come with a watermark that says “AI generated content”. Besides the blue colored sparkle Logo, the new tagline appears, One UI 6.1 imprinted on Generative wallpaper.
The new watermark isn’t overly invasive, even though it appears more noticeable than the previous one. Sadly, there is no way for you to get rid of it if you don’t want even that tiny bit of intrusion.
Additionally, One UI 6.1.1 enhances Generative Edit with two new capabilities. “Transform pictures of people into various artistic styles” is the first feature’s capability. “Draw on an image, then use AI to make your drawing look like part of the picture” is the second feature.
One UI 6.1.1 applies the new watermark to the modified images when you use any of these tools for image editing. That’s actually a pretty good concept because it informs folks that this is a partially fake image, allowing them to make the appropriate distinctions.
Samsung is scheduled to release One UI 6.1.1 for Galaxy tablets and smartphones that are older. Therefore, on wallpapers made using the Generative Wallpapers feature or photographs changed with the Generative Edit functionality on such devices, you will also notice the new watermark.
