Floating Action Button Enables users to have Quick access to key actions and also allows users to perform primary functions. FAB facilitates the functioning easier and more likable as users can initiate actions faster.

Currently, it appears in apps like Gmail, Google Maps and Google Keep. Moreover, Google Drive currently has two FABs: One for uploading/creating new documents and another one to scan the document using a camera. Google Chrome is on its way to join this league.

The latest FAB in Chrome comes under the 127.0.6533.23 beta version. FAB will be launched as a new tab under a tab overview screen. Rather than placing a new tab in the top-left corner, the FAB tab will be placed in the bottom-right corner as it allows users to access the new tab more quickly and easily.

The Floating Action Button generally appears at the right bottom corner of the screen, promoting a single focused action. In apps like Google Keep, it’s used to create new notes, while in Google Maps, it centers the map on the user’s location.
