Of course, that’s not what one would anticipate from a brand-new gadget, but thankfully, Samsung has already begun developing a solution. The new Galaxy Watch 7 faster battery drain issue is most likely the result of software, not hardware. On the official Samsung forums for South Korea, a representative of the company has stated that a software update is being prepared and would be released in the near future.

The individual withheld information regarding the particular software feature causing this issue, thus it’s unclear what’s really at fault. The Galaxy Watch 7’s battery was reportedly draining at a rate of 10% per hour, according to some users. This is far faster than is typical for a wristwatch and definitely not what one would anticipate from a brand-new gadget.

It’s important to note that this problem appears to be limited to the Galaxy Watch 7, one of the two new smartwatches the company unveiled at this month’s Unpacked presentation. The fact that there haven’t been any complaints of a similar problem with the Galaxy Watch Ultra to date will undoubtedly please owners of the more costly device.
