Samsung continues to roll out the One UI 6.1 update for all eligible Galaxy flagship devices released from 2021; However, some devices have received the update only in South Korea, Europe, US so far. But the good news is that gradually, the Korean tech giant has expanded the One UI 6.1 update to more countries for some devices like the Galaxy S22 series.
Galaxy S22 series devices have started receiving the One UI 6.1 update in India and China after the US, Korea, and Europe. The devices have been seen receiving new updates with the following firmware version numbers:
India
- Galaxy S22: S901EXXU8EXE1
- Galaxy S22 Plus: S906EXXU8EXE1
- Galaxy S22 Ultra: S908EXXU8EXE1
China
- Galaxy S22: S9010ZCU5EXE1
- Galaxy S22 Plus: S9060ZCU5EXE1
- Galaxy S22 Ultra: S9080ZCU5EXE1
With the latest update, users will get many new features including Galaxy AI which comes with the latest UI, but it does not bring the May 2024 security patch, which was released only for the Galaxy S24 series.

Based on Android 14, the One UI 6.1 brings lots of Galaxy AI features including Circle to Search with Google, Chat Assist, Interpreter, Live Translate, Note Assist, Transcript Assist, Browsing Assist, Generative Edit, Edit Suggestion, and AI-Generated Wallpaper.
Galaxy S22 users in India can manually check for new software updates with a few simple steps. First of all, head to Settings of your Galaxy device, once done, scroll down and tap on the Software Update menu, followed by the Download and Install button.
