Keeping in mind the issues that came before, everyone with a Galaxy phone or tablet eligible for One UI 6.1 should take a few steps before installing the update.

  • It is a good idea to create a data backup before any major OS update to keep the data safe.
  • Considering the issue of being unable to unlock the Galaxy S22 device after installing One UI 6.1, you may want to disable the lock screen before proceeding with the update.

Samsung may soon release the One UI 6.1 update for the Galaxy S22, so we recommend going to see your phone’s Settings to manually check for the software update. At the bottom you will discover the Software Update section, just open it. If your Galaxy brings a new OTA then press the Download and Install button.
