There was a lot of confusion about the compatibility of the Galaxy Ring and whether the Galaxy Ring would only work on Galaxy devices or non-Samsung devices. On the product page, Samsung has confirmed that the Galaxy Ring works with all Android phones, but a website footnote mentions the need for a Galaxy smartphone or tablet to use the ring.
The confusion about the compatibility of the Galaxy Ring has now been cleared after YouTuber M Brandon Lee showed the Galaxy Ring working on non-Samsung Android phones, Nothing Phone. To connect the Galaxy Ring to your non-Samsung Android phone, all you need to do is install the Galaxy Wearable app from Google Play.
You can check out the video of Nothing Phone supporting Galaxy Ring. The video confirms that Galaxy Ring can be used on smartphones other than Samsung. This is great news for those who want to buy Galaxy Ring but use Android phones from other brands such as Xiaomi, OnePlus, Realme, Vivo, etc.
