The locked variant of the Galaxy A23 5G receives the Android 14-based One UI 6.1 update with a May 2024 security patch from Verizon. According to the information, the update is coming with the firmware version A236VSQU4DXE6. The latest update not only brings significant changes to the device but also adds some new features that may require you to implement a new update.
One UI 6.1 features:
One UI 6.1 is a revolutionary software update from Samsung due to the introduction of Galaxy AI tools, but it is worth noting that the update will not bring any such feature to the Galaxy A23 5G device.
Apart from the Galaxy AI feature, the device gets some new important features such as new customization options under several existing features such as wallpaper editing, lock screen widgets, alarm alerts, calendar, reminder alerts, and many more.
Besides One UI 6.1, the latest update of the Galaxy A23 brings the May 2024 patch with more than 50 fixes, whereas Google has added 31 patches that dedicatedly bring new enhancements for the Android OS. Plus, Samsung has also added 25 more patches that provide some new enhancements for strengthening the devices.
If you are using the Galaxy A23 locked device in the US, you can now update the latest update by following the simple steps: Head to the system settings. Form the software update menu, select “download and install” to check for the update, and if available, click on the download button.
