A few days ago, Samsung released details about the May 2024 security patch, which brings several bug fixes. Due to One UI 6.1 development, the company delayed the monthly security patch, but now the company is back on track. The Samsung Galaxy S24 series is the first series to receive the May 2024 security update. The latest update improves the system stability and security of devices for a better Galaxy experience.
Galaxy S24 gets access to May 2024 security update
Samsung Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24 Plus, and Galaxy S24 Ultra smartphones are getting the May 2024 security update with One UI builds S921USQS2AXD3, S926USQS2AXD3, and S928USQS2AXD3, respectively on Verizon in the US. The Korean tech giant will soon make this update available in all eligible markets.
As always, the May 2024 security patch improves system security and stability to enhance overall performance. It also improves system stability to provide smooth and uninterrupted functionality on your device.
According to the Samsung May 2024 security update note, it fixes 45 security vulnerabilities, 33 of which are provided by Google. Of those 33 CEVs, 3 have been tagged as ‘Critical’, 1 as ‘Moderate’, while 26 have been tagged as ‘High’ in severity. Additionally, two patches are for bugs that do not apply to Galaxy devices and 1 CEV fix is for a bug that Samsung fixed in a previous security update.

To manually check for software updates, go to your phone’s Settings. At the bottom you will find the Software Update section, just open it. If your Galaxy brings a new OTA then inside the submenu you have to press the Download and Install button.
