One of the South Korean firm’s official forum moderators explained that the Samsung Secure Folder issue was caused by a change in Google’s policies regarding accounts managed with Family Link. He added that a recent software update restricted the use of Secure Folder on accounts logged in via Family Link. Family Link is a Google feature that helps parents control their children’s digital activities.

Also, if your device is logged in with a child’s account under Family Link, you won’t be able to use Secure Folder for security reasons. To use Secure Folder again on your child’s device, you’ll just need to log in with a regular Google account that isn’t under Family Link’s control.
