According to SMR, the May 2024 security update fixes 45 vulnerabilities, of which Google has addressed 33, including 3 critical and 26 high-level vulnerabilities. The update also includes 25 Samsung-specific enhancements, fixing issues related to Secure Folder, Multitasking Framework, and more.
The latest security patch focuses on improving the security and stability of the smartphone for a better user experience. Samsung recommends downloading this update to get a bug-free experience. You can download and install the update by going to the Settings app, clicking Software update, and then tapping the Download and install option.
Before installing this update, make sure to fully charge your smartphone. Once installed, you will not be able to downgrade to the older firmware due to the security policy update.
The 5G variants of the Galaxy A52 series are the first variants to receive security updates until May 2024. However, Galaxy A52 and Galaxy A52s owners may not have to wait too long to update their phones with the latest security update.
